Brighten Crawford-Martin, BSPH, is a member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes in MT. She is a graduate student in the Master of Public Health Indigenous Health track at NAU. She works as a Graduate Research Assistant with the Southwest Health Engagement and Research Collaborative (SHERC). Her interests focus on program evaluation, community health research, and strengthening community-driven public health efforts in Indian Country.

Chelsie Begoody
Member of the Navajo Nation

Chelsie is a Graduate Research Assistant at Southwest Health Engagement and Research Collaborative. She is in her first year at Northern Arizona University, where she is pursuing a Master of Public Health in the Indigenous Health track. Her interests include food access and maternal health.

Desirae Bain

Desirae Bain, is a first year Master’s student at Northern Arizona University, concentration on Health Promotion – Indigenous Health. Desirae is a member of the Navajo Nation in Arizona, Tsénjíkiní, born for Tótsohnii, Mą’ii Deeshgiizhinii are her maternal grandparents, and Tsi’naajinii are her paternal grandparents. Her interests include the study of how often diseases occur in Indigenous groups, where they spread, and why.

Michelle Archuleta, MS, MA, is an enrolled member of the Lone Pine Paiute-Shoshone Tribe with ancestry to the Ohkay Owingeh. She is currently the Indian Health Service National Community Health Representative (CHR) Consultant and Community Health Team Lead. Michelle has an extensive background in health promotion, and community-based programming at the local, state, regional and national levels. Her professional interests include health coaching, Indigenous storywork, and advocacy for the advancement of the field of community health and CHRs critical to the front-line of health and healthcare.
